Where are we on the political compass?

Education

One big issue dealing with education currently is the No Child Left Behind act. This shows how well schools are doing by how well the students do on a test that they take. This then determines how much money the government will give the schools.
The Zebra Party believes that the No Child Left Behind act is unnessisary. The government shouldn't determine how much money to give the school by how well the students do on a test. Some students are excellent students, but they don't do well on tests so this wouldn't show that the school is doing a good job at teaching their students.
The Zebra Party believes that there should be an different method of determining how much money a school gets from the government.

Equal Rights

Equal rights has been an issue for many years. The Zebra Party was acctually started to achieve equal rights for everyone no matter what their race, gender, or religious beliefs are. This issue goes way back to the time of the Civil War when slavery was legal in the United States. Even after the Civil War, people weren't equal. Races were still separated, even though slavery wasn't legal anymore.
Equal rights was also an issue for women. Women weren't even aloud to vote until very early in the 20th century. Women also weren't aloud to have the same jobs as men.
The Zebra Party in here to achieve equal rights for everyone and we will do our best to do so.

Why are we here?

The purpose of the Zebra party is to let the world know that everyone is created equal no matter what race you are. You see, over the years people have judged other people just for the fact of their race and/or color. What we are accomplishing with our campaign is to make racial discrimination illegal in all states for it is a act of violence and should not happen in this country.

History Of the Zebra Party

The Zebra Party was started by Wilt Chamberlin. He started it when he was 40 in 1976, are party started a year after the Vientnam war. They started it because they wanted to show the world there ideas on things. Wilt Chamberlin played in the NBA for 15 years with 4 different teams.

Same Sex Marriage

In the United States, same sex marriage is a major issue. There are places that gays are free to marry and places that it is illegal to have a same sex marriage.
The Zebra Party is for same sex marriage. We believe that people should have the right to marry whoever they want to marry whether they are gay or strait. Just because someone is gay, it doesn't mean that they shouldn't have the right to marry.

Environment

A big issue in the United States right now is the environment. The U.S. uses a high amount of fossil fuels for cars, planes, and many other things. The fossil fuels, when they are burned, create carbon dioxide and pollute the air.
We plan to help this by reducing the amount of fossil fuels that are used in the U.S. and start useing more environmentally friendly means of energy like solar power or wind power. This will help the earth and the people who live here very much, and it will lower the amount of pollution in the air creating a healthier environment for everyone.

Abortion

Abortion is a huge issue in the United States today. There are so many arguments on this issue like- "Should we make abortion illegal?" or "Is abortion okay?" or "Should you have the choice for abortion?".
The Zebra Party is pro-choice. We believe that the parent(s) should have the choice to have an abortion. If a woman is raped and wants to have an abortion we believe that she should have that option if she wants it.

Canidates

The Zebra Party's Candiate is Rob Williams from Madison Wisconsin. Rob Williams is 47 and has been looking into political problems for years. He started a little bit after he graduated from Marquette. He went to highschool in Viroqua, Wisconsin. He has been a member of the Zebra party for many years and they have just now chosen him as there canidate. Kobe Bryant will be the Vice president (picture on the bottom). although he is young he will help Rob Williams with things he doesnt understand. Rob Williams is the right man for the job Because he know what its like to live in a smally populated state such as wisconsin but he also understands big cities, because he lived in Washington D.C for a year. He has gained many experinces from being in the Zebra party for so long he has talked to many of the major canidates in the last 10 years acting them about there idea on things. Rob Williams has been asking the Zebra Party to let him be there canidate for a long time and his finnally getting his wish. Vote for Williams, he knows what he's doing.
